BLACK SCALE X DJ DE 4:20 MIX

Alfred De’ Tagle aka Dj De is the other owner of Black Scale and has been Djing for over 20 years in San Francisco and around the USA. From Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Soul R&B Dj De has pretty much done it all sharing his love for music with many of us growing up in San Francisco. I met Alfred about 10 years ago from mutual friends buying sneakers, clothes and being in the life night in San Francisco and me being younger than all my boys these are the guys that exposed me to partying and living the City Life. One of the first times I hung out with Alfred, we went to Berkeley to dig for records and pass out fliers for his weekly Tuesday night event at Soluna. That’s when he asked me to help him pass out fliers and our business relationship started and from that day forward we are still here building, him being the creative and I (Mega) being the business. Alfred has taken a break from the busy schedule of Djing to focus on Black Scale full time and once in a while when he feels the urge to Dj he spins at a few events in New York and when back home in San Francisco. His 4:20 mix is here and available for download and we hope you all enjoy it.

BLACK SCALE X A$AP ROCKY – LOOKBOOK

Black Scale x A$VP Rocky Capsule collection is finally releasing in the US and will shortly follow in Scandinavia! Exact date will be given shortly.

The experience we have had working with Rocky and A$VP Mob has been amazing and becoming friends pushing one another to the next level is nothing we ever experienced working with musicians. This was the first ever capsule we ever done that wasn’t with another clothing company and it’s one of our biggest collaborations we will ever release. Watching Rocky and A$VP Mob grow in this short period of time has definitely been exciting and we are very bless to have a chance to work with some amazing people. Thanks to A$VP Rocky and the entire A$VP Mob for everything.

With all the questions we get about how Black Scale hooked up with A$AP Rocky, how he found out about the brand and the release of the capsule collection that is dropping with him they broke it down to five easy questions so people can get an idea how it all happened.

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT BLACK SCALE?

Rocky: I found out about Black Scale through A$AP Josh in 2008/2009 and I’ve been addicted to it ever since.

HOW DOES BLACK SCALE FIT INTO THE AESTHETIC OF A$AP ROCKY?

Rocky: It fits into my aesthetic because its dark, often misunderstood and its cultivating. I’m a Libra it is a sign of a scale my sign is a scale. It’s a perfect fit.

A$AP ROCKY HAS A CAPSULE COMING OUT WITH BLACK SCALE AND HOW DID THAT COME ABOUT?

Rocky: It came about because Black Scale is now family and it came naturally

WHEN DOES THE BLACK SCALE X A$AP ROCKY CAPSULE RELEASE?

Rocky: The capsule will be released early April, 2012.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST WHEN DO WE EXPECT THE A$AP ROCKY ALBUM?

Rocky: The album will be released on July 15th
